Our furniture roots are in South East Arizona. A few generations back Clyde Sparks opened for business in 1946 in Thatcher Arizona. Soon after turning the business over to his son’s, Ron & Val Sparks, on October 18, 1976, the store burned to the ground. We were not able to save any merchandise just a few records.
That was a tough time but a time of growth for the Sparks Family. We still remember the great outpouring of support from the community. We opened for business across the street the very next day- selling directly from our warehouse which was not affected by the fire and began the task of rebuilding on the original site. We completed the new store in February of 1977. The Sparks family has continued to grow in the furniture business in Arizona. We currently operate furniture stores in Thatcher & Cottonwood Arizona. In early 2017 the decision was made to open a store in Idaho Falls.
With just a few trip to the area we fell in love with natural beauty of the area, the people and the wonderful variety of outdoor activities. We are excited to call Idaho Falls and surrounding area our new home base. Our experience in the furniture business has taught us the importance of staying ahead of the trends. Many stores we’ve seen become complacent. Soon your store becomes tired and worn out looking. It is our commitment and mission to consistently provide current, fresh and exciting furniture & mattresses at great values to South East Idaho.
